From engagement
to a live website

One email.

A short update or the latest edition.
AI takes care of the website changes.

01 / The starting point

The magazine had a story.
The website wasn’t telling it.

Your Home Remodel Magazine connects homeowners with inspiration and local home improvement professionals. Its original website gave that business a place online, but little room to grow.

It was static, difficult to update, and offered few ways to move a reader from browsing to making an enquiry. Each new issue meant more website work for a publisher whose attention belonged on the magazine.

We saw an opportunity to make the website an active part of the business.

Before / A static presence01
The old homepage: a download, an introduction, and limited paths into the business.
After / A place to take action02
The new homepage: start a project, discover a professional, or open the latest issue.
See the original contact experience
A general contact form was the old website’s main route to an enquiry.
02 / A connected platform

Bring the magazine to life.
Then give readers a next step.

We designed the experience around the people who make YHR work: homeowners looking for ideas, advertisers looking for customers, and a publisher connecting the two.

01

The issue is just one click away.

A custom magazine reader opens from the latest-issue button in the navigation. Readers can move through the edition, jump between pages, zoom into details, and stay immersed in the publication.

A purpose-built reading experience, connected directly to the website.

Every edition deserves to be discovered.

Magazine carousels make the publication’s archive feel inviting. The current issue and previous editions sit within easy reach, giving readers more reasons to explore.

A browsable library of issues, with the magazine’s imagery doing the inviting.
02

“I want to remodel
my kitchen.”

That simple sentence is the start of a useful conversation. The homepage’s AI estimator and lead-generation tool helps homeowners describe their project, then connects them with relevant YHR advertisers.

The questions adapt to the homeowner’s project, starting right in the hero.
From intent to opportunity

A reason to engage.
A route to the right pro.

The tool gives visitors a clear starting point and gives advertisers a place in that journey. The website can help make a connection while interest is fresh.

  1. 01Describe the project.
  2. 02Explore the relevant details.
  3. 03Connect with a local professional.
03

Make every advertiser
easier to find. And choose.

We built a dynamic YHR PROS directory with smart search and individual digital profiles. Homeowners can describe what they need, discover relevant businesses, and get to know the professionals behind them.

Smart search makes a growing directory easier to navigate.
A dedicated presence for each advertiser, with useful details and direct contact options.

For homeowners, a clearer way to find the right business. For advertisers, a professional digital presence that extends their relationship with the magazine.

04 / Business-aware AI

A helpful conversation.
A more relevant lead.

The custom AI assistant uses YHR’s business context to guide homeowners toward advertisers and potential advertisers toward the sales team. It serves two audiences with different needs, within the same experience.

A custom assistant shaped around the magazine’s business.
05 / An editorial library

Hundreds of articles.
One place to explore.

We migrated the content and built a digital magazine blog that brings hundreds of articles into a browsable online publication. Homeowners can explore ideas and advice beyond the latest print edition.

The magazine’s expertise, available between issues.
03 / Behind the scenes

Publish the magazine.
Send us an email.
Get on with your day.

A more capable website shouldn’t give its owner more work. We changed how YHR keeps the site current, using AI to handle updates from a short summary email or the latest edition.

The publisher no longer has to spend that time working through website changes. The process starts with information they already have, in a format they already use.

  1. 01 / From the publisher

    A short email.
    Or the new edition.

The client sends what has changed or shares the latest magazine.

  2. 02 / Through our AI workflow

    The information
    becomes an update.

AI takes care of the website changes from the supplied material.

  3. 03 / Back to the business

    A current website.
    Less to manage.

The publisher can focus on readers, advertisers, and the next issue.

04 / The business impact

Better for the readers.
Better for the business.

In the first year, YHR saw a 3,000% increase in leads. The more professional website also helped the client close more advertisers, while the new update workflow reduced the time spent maintaining the site.

The change reaches beyond a homepage: readers have useful ways to explore, advertisers have a stronger digital presence, and the publisher has less website administration to handle.

First-year increase in leads+3,000%

A stronger sales story.

A professional platform helped YHR show prospective advertisers how they could be found, understood, and contacted online.

More time for publishing.

A short email or new edition replaced the client’s time-consuming website-update process.

The engagement

One team.
From strategy to support.

Vitris handled the website strategy, design, development, AI integrations, and content migration. We took the new site from engagement to launch in approximately 10 days, and continue to provide ongoing support.
